What can you tell me about Netflix?
If you are on this page, you should already know what’s up with Netflix. However, for those who really aren’t sure, know that it’s a movie service and that it’s moving toward a more digital only format. It started out as a through-the-mail DVD rental place, but these days most people seem far more interested in just streaming movies through internet-connected devices.
How do I create an account with Netflix?
Starting an account with Netflix is pretty easy. Just make your way to www.netflix.com and click the link under the login boxes that says “Not a member.” Click the “Start now” button and you will be asked to enter various information like your email address, password and zip code, all the while clicking “Next” or “Continue” buttons along the way when each page is done. Though you will be getting two weeks free, you need to set up a payment method for when that time is over. Enter your billing details as requested and your account will be ready to go.
How do I make a payment on my Netflix account?
Considering the way that you have to sign up for Netflix (insofar as you have to input a payment method to create your account), this is more along the lines of a “How do I change by billing method?” than just how to make a payment, especially since they just withdraw funds automatically themselves. So, to set up your Netflix account with a new payment method, follow these directions to have your account get paid by credit card:
- Head to the My Account area for your Netflix pay bill
- If you are not already signed in, enter your email and password for the account and check the box by “Remember me on this device” to stay logged in, then click the “Sign In” button
- Click the “Update payment info” link
- Select “Credit Card”
- In the dropdown area that appears, enter your credit card information as requested. You will have to fill out all of the boxes
- Click the “Update Payment Method” button
Are there any other Netflix Payment Options I should know about?
Other than having your account paid by credit card, there are two more options you can use – PayPal and Netflix gift cards.
Follow the instructions for credit card payments above until you get to the section where you select “Credit Card” and instead choose “PayPal.” This will take you to PayPal’s login area for Netflix members. Once there, log in with your PayPal information and click the “Log in to PayPal” button. After that, click the “Agree and Continue” button to verify that you are okay with automatic payments being taken out through your PayPal account.
Netflix Gift Cards
If you have a Netflix gift card, setting it up to be your payment method until the funds run out is pretty easy. Just go back to the page Netflix.com/YourAccount and scroll to the bottom of the page. Enter your gift code in the box in the “GIFT & OFFERS” section that is labeled “Enter code or pin” and then click the “Redeem” button.
