What is Family Mobile, anyway?

Family Mobile is a cell phone service offered by the Walmart corporation. While it is not really that big of a name in the cellular or telecommunications industry, their service actually just runs through T-Mobile, which means than anyone who is using a Family Mobile plan from Walmart is actually just using a relabeled T-Mobile plan.  For more information, visit the What is Family Mobile? page.

So it is basically T-Mobile service under the Walmart brand?

Yes, but as you will see from the following questions, it’s still going to all be handled by Walmart. You will just be tapping into T-Mobile’s cellular network – that’s about as far as that connection goes.

How can I create an online log in for my Family Mobile account?

Head over to the Walmart Family Mobile home page at myfamilymobile.com. Click the button that says “Sign up” on it (as highlighted in purple in the image for the next section). With the online access enrollment page open, you will be asked to enter your phone number. Once you have it entered, click the button that says “Text me a temporary password” and your phone will receive, well, a text message from Family Mobile that you will use to complete your account registration.

How can I make a payment online?

  • Go to the website.com www.myfamilymobile.com
  • Enter your Family Mobile phone number
  • Enter your password
  • Click “Remember me” to keep your phone number stored for future visits (but not your password)
  • Click the blue “Sign in” button

Walmart Family Mobile Login and Account Creation

  • Once logged in to your account, go to Account Summary
  • Click the bright green “Pay bill” button
  • Enter the amount you want to pay
  • Enter your preferred payment date
  • Input your payment details (like bank account and routing numbers)
  • Submit and verify your payment

Can I pay over the phone?

You sure can, and I bet you’re excited to use your Family Mobile phone to make a payment on your Family Mobile phone, am I right? Sorry, super dry humor there. Anyway, to make a payment over the phone, call (877) 440-9758 and you will have the option to pay through the automated system or with a Family Mobile account representative. If you choose to speak with a representative to complete your payment, it will take up to two hours to post to your account, otherwise it will be near immediate.
