What is Care Credit?
The credit card offered by Care Credit might feel like some kind of health insurance, but it is really designed to be an augmentation to whatever your payment method is for any kind of health-related payments. What that means is that if you encounter any medical issues that you can’t afford out of pocket, you can then use the Care Credit card to pay for the expenses. This can be quite beneficial for those who might not have a needed procedure covered.

How do I sign up for a Care Credit account?
If you are not yet a member and would like to sign up for a Care Credit card, you can do so at their Apply Now page. While I don’t normally discuss the application process for lines of credit, I feel that the Care Credit application’s first page warrants a bit of an explanation. Once you load up that page, you will be asked to explain how you would like to use the healthcare credit card through a series of text entry fields and some forms for the application.
How do I make login credentials for my Care Credit account online?
Seeing as payments and the financial portion of the account is handled through Synchrony Financial, you will sign up for access to your account the same way you would for many other consumer credit cards that are issued through the Synchrony organization, which is the renamed GE Capital group.
Either way, to register for Care Credit when starting at the company’s homepage of www.carecredit.com/, scroll down a little and click the box that says “Online Access & Payments.” On the following screen, you should see a link that says “Register,” click that. If you’re having a hard time finding that link, check out the image for the following question where I have it highlighted in purple.
Fill out the forms to completion and your account will be ready for logging in.
How do I make an online payment on my Care Credit account?
- Go to the Synchrony CareCredit login page by clicking here
- Enter your username and password
- Click “Remember me” if you’re on your own computer (one that’s non-public)
- Click “Go”
- Mouse over the payments link at the top
- Select “Make a Payment”
- Input all of your payment details and submit the payment
- Confirm your payment information and click “Make a Payment”
